You must have seen thousands of art prints, but seeing prints based on surreal themes is something rare. Alfred Basha does that and how!
Basha opens a meditative passage through his art print in his attempt to give us a glimpse of his inner world. And his inner world is an amalgamation of surreal projections and metamorphosis. The themes of this visionary illustrator are imaginary, but at the same time most vivid and meaningful.
On a more practical level, Basha uses pen and ink to draw intricate figures, meticulously detailing them. The ideas emanate straight from his heart, inspired by nature, and get expressed in two dimensions. So, you have trees sprouting into animal silhouettes, forest landscape etched out on a bear’s back and other such mind-boggling stuff.
He offers his art print either on paper or in the form of tote bags. He probably had an eye out for commercializing his art. This is exactly what he does on his own site – selling his art prints that are in no way cheap. But, his creations are one-of-its-kind and certainly a collectors’ item.
Most of his sketches and works are available on his website and on the Facebook and can be ordered online. Basha certainly knows how to turn his creations into money.
